"Pourquoi?", oils on canvas, 49"h X 49"w
Part of client private collection
This painting stems from a deep medition in shavasana (aka - corpse pose) at the end of a yoga class. During the shavasana, I felt as if I was envisioning this image through my third eye. Originally, I painted it in a swathe of copper with variations of blue. However, the painting transformed from predominately copper to hues of blues that reemphasized the original composition with peeking copper.
